Terms and Conditions

  1. The promoter of this fundraising draw is the Galway Rape Crisis Centre in association with Paul Byrnes Media & JEL Marketing. 
  2. The terms and conditions herein set out are at all times governed by the laws of the Republic of Ireland.
  3. This campaign is being promoted under licence granted by the District Court in Galway, on 5th March, 2024, for the period of 2nd April 2024 to 2nd April 2025.
  4. The purpose of this raffle is to raise funds to develop a new state-of-the-art building for the Galway Rape Crisis Centre in the Claddagh, Galway. 
  5. The fundraising draw is open to all natural persons aged 18 years or older.  Any tickets purchased by persons under the age of 18 years shall be declared null and void and shall not be included or deemed to be included in the raffle. Any persons named on a ticket under the age of 18 years shall be declared null and void and shall not be included or deemed to be included in the raffle.  Any such entry drawn at the raffle will be declared invalid and another ticket will be drawn in its place.
  6. The cost of a ticket is €50 or 3 for €100
  7. By purchasing a ticket, the ticket is indicating his/her agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions.
  8. Members and their spouses and partners of the raffle committee appointed to organise and oversee the fundraising draw and anybody working with or on the board of the Galway Rape Crisis Centre are expressly precluded from purchasing a ticket.
  9. There is no limit to the number of tickets that an individual may purchase.
  10. The maximum number of tickets available is 20,000.
  11. Once purchased, the ticket is non-refundable except in circumstances where the promoter cancels the draw. In that event, a maximum of €40 per ticket purchased will be refunded to the ticket holder.
  12. Neither the promoter nor any of its servants, agents, licensees, trustees, committee members or the organisers of the fundraising draw of whatsoever nature or howsoever appointed shall be liable for any failure in the performance of its obligations due to factors beyond its and/or their control.
  13. Neither the promoter nor any of its servants, agents, licensees, trustees, committee members or the organisers of the fundraising draw of whatsoever nature or howsoever appointed shall be liable to the ticket holders for any loss, inconvenience, damage or expense suffered by the ticket holder participating in this raffle.
  14. The prize for this raffle is €100,000. The prize is non-transferable and vests in the winner only.
  15. The promoter reserves the right to add additional prizes to the raffle.  The addition of such prizes will be notified to the ticket holders as soon as practicable and will also be available at win100grand.ie.
  16. The draw will take place on September 1st, 2024, and will be adjudicated by an independent observer.
  17. The promoter reserves the right to alter or change the date of the draw for any reason whatsoever. In setting an alternative date, the promoter will notify the ticket holders as soon as practicable by publishing it on win100grand.ie.
  18. A committee member will contact the winner on the phone once the draw is completed. 
  19. The winner may be subject to verification by the promoter and this process may take up to 7 days to complete once the winner has claimed their prize.
  20. If the winner cannot be contacted by phone or email and does not claim their prize within 14 days of the notification of same the promoter reserves the right to withdraw the prize from the winner and select a replacement winner.
  21. The fundraising draw will be implemented and conducted by the promoter in association with Paul Byrnes Media & JEL Marketing.  The preparation of entries for the final draw will be independently observed.  The promoter will maintain books and records, recording all entries into the draw and all costs relating to the raffle.  The books and records will be audited within 14 days of the draw taking place.
  22. The promoter’s decision with respect to the winners and all or any other matters concerned with this raffle is final.
  23. The €100,000 prize will be transferred to the winner free from any financial interest, entitlement or encumbrances in favour of the promoter as soon as practicable following the draw.
  24. The promoter reserves the right at all times to amend the raffle and the terms and conditions herein set out, and in purchasing a ticket, each ticket holder consents and agrees to be bound by the said amendments.  The promoter further reserves the right to cancel this fundraising draw for any reason whatsoever.  The cancellation or any change to the raffle or these terms and conditions will be notified to the ticket holders as soon as practicable in respect thereof. 
  25. For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR):
    • The promoter will retain and use the ticket holder’s personal data for the duration of the fundraising draw and a reasonable period thereafter.
    • On purchasing a ticket the holder agrees to the use of his or her details being used solely in connection with this raffle.  Personal data of any kind will not be disclosed to a third party without the ticket holder’s consent.
    • The winners hereby agree and consent to the use of their personal data and /or image being released in publicity material in conjunction with the draw.
  26. The promoter, its servants, agents, licensees, trustees, committee members or the organiser of the fundraising draw accepts no responsibility whatsoever whether due to error, omission, alteration, tampering, deletion, theft, destruction, transmission, interception or communication failure, for unreceived, late, missing, incomplete, incorrectly submitted, corrupted or misdirected claims, entries, applications or otherwise.
